Huawei Unveils New Smart Site Energy Solution at Global ICT Energy Efficiency Summit

Dubai, UAE – May 26, 2025 — The 9th Global ICT Energy Efficiency Summit concluded successfully in Dubai under the theme “Green Site, Smart Future.” The event brought together global telecom operators, tower companies, and industry experts to discuss innovative approaches for building greener and more intelligent ICT energy infrastructure.

Single SitePower integrates four major coordinated capabilities:

Solar-Storage Collaboration: Based on Huawei’s iSolar technology, the solution enables hybrid energy generation and full utilization of solar power. Compared to traditional approaches, it delivers up to 55% higher energy yield.

Grid Collaboration: Huawei’s iGrid adaptive technology ensures site stability under frequent power outages and weak grids. In regions with unreliable electricity, this solution has improved site availability from 60% to 99.9%.

Wireless Collaboration: A unique backup energy management system doubles the backup time under the same battery configuration. In Europe, the system extended power supply from 2.5 hours to over 7 hours during outages.

Service Collaboration: The integrated maintenance platform, powered by AI, enables intelligent diagnostics, fault prediction, fast troubleshooting, and optimized energy dispatch. This reduces operational costs (OPEX) by up to 50%.

The summit also emphasized the importance of safe and high-quality lithium battery applications in telecom infrastructure. As lithium battery deployment increases, so does the need for higher safety standards. Huawei, along with international organizations and operators, hosted a closed-door roundtable to promote the development of unified safety standards and foster industry consensus on reliable energy storage.
